Gor Mahia Head Coach, Hassan Oktay has officially resigned as the football club’s tactician. His resignation comes days after leaving Nairobi, Kenya to attend to his family issues.
The Turkish tactician said his decision had been forced by personal challenges he is currently facing in Europe, including his father’s ailing condition.
According to Gor Mahia FC Chairman Ambrose Rachier, Coach Oktay requested for eight days off to attend to his family matters. In his absence Assistant Coach, Patrick has been taking full charge of the team as they prepare for the assignments ahead including the CAF preparation.
Apparently, upon his leaving it was discovered that he left the country with his belongings, amid reports that the tactician may not return to the club, K’ogalo’s Chairman Rachier revealed.
” I wish to thank you and the entire club funs for the opportunity you accorded me to manage this great club. I also wish you guys all the best in the forthcoming assignments,” Oktay wrote to the club chairman.
the club has accepted his wish to terminate his contract and thank him for his services, “K’ogalo also prays for Oktay’s situation to get better,” said Team Manager.
Former Asante Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea tactician Stephen Pollack is yet to be named K’ogalo’s new Coach. He is expected in the country tomorrow to finalize on the paperwork.
Stephen George Pollack is an English football manager, he also holds Finish citizenship. Pollack was most recently the Head Coach of Asante Kitoko and now expected to join the defending Sportpesa Premier League Champions Gor Mahia in Kenya.
