Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria on Tuesday night took to social media with scathing remarks in response to Adan Duale’s remarks in which the majority leader dismissed.
During the interview with Citizen TV’s Hussein Mohamed, Duale maintained that 2022 presidential elections will be a two-horse race between Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto.
“I can tell you for free. The presidential contest in 2022 will be between 2 people- William Ruto and Raila Odinga” Duale stated.
Duale dismissed other contenders as jokers, asserting that he will be supporting DP Ruto in the contest.
“In every election there are jokers. In 2022, it will be a 2-horse race. The rest are donkeys” Duale stated.
“DP Ruto is not the kind of person you abandon. He is a strong politician. I will support him in 2022.” He added.
His remarks did not go down well with the Gatundu South MP who took to social media almost immediately with scathing remarks.
In a thin-veiled attack, Kuria took a swipe at Duale’s political support base.
“Hii dunia ina maajabu. A camel elected by 2000 people calls others donkeys? How now?” Kuria wondered.
Apparently, Kuria who has declared interest in the seat was not impressed after he was dismissed as one of the donkeys or jokers.
The MP was at one point a close ally of DP Ruto before charting his own political path with the newly registered Transformation National Alliance (TNA) party associated with him.
He has been a critic of President Uhuru Kenyatta and is on record alleging that Central Kenya region has been left behind in development projects.
